Privacy Policy

My Sunday Prep (“we,” “us”) helps you find recipes, plan your week, and build grocery lists. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive basic profile information from Google, such as your name.
• Content you create. The recipes you save, grocery lists you build, weekly meal plans, and any pantry data you add.
• Sign-in data.We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use your information

• To provide the app: sign you in, and save and show your recipes, lists, and meal plans.
• To send you sign-in (magic-link) emails.
• To process recipe ingredient names so your grocery list comes out clean and organized (see third-party services below).

We use your information to run the service — nothing more.

Third-party services

We rely on a few trusted services to run the app:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account and the content you create are stored here.
• Resend — sends transactional emails, such as your sign-in links.
• Google— if you choose “Continue with Google,” Google handles sign-in and shares basic profile information with us.
• Spoonacular and TheMealDB — provide recipe data. Your recipe searches are sent to these services to return results.
• Anthropic (Claude)— when you save a recipe, we send its ingredient names to Anthropic's API to clean them up and sort them by grocery aisle (for example, tidying “boned and skinned chicken breast halves” into “chicken breast”). We send ingredient text only — not your account details.

Each of these services has its own privacy practices, and we share only what's needed for that service to work.

How your data is kept private

Your saved recipes, lists, meal plans, and pantry data are private to your account. Our database uses row-level security so that one user cannot access another user's data.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We don't show ads, and we don't share your data with advertisers.

Your choices and deleting your data

• You can delete individual saved recipes and grocery lists at any time from within the app.
• To delete your entire account and all the data associated with it, email us at whatscooking@mysundayprep.com and we'll remove it.

Children

My Sunday Prep isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date at the top.
